The artist
Alex Righetto
A Veronese painter, trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, Alex Righetto lives and works in the United States. His figurative language reinterprets the legacy of Italian and European painting with a contemporary hand: anatomical precision that dissolves into abstract brushwork, colour that carries both life and its absence. Each of his collections is built as a narrative, from a single question.
In 2024 he presented Romeo and Juliet: The Metamorphosis at Windsor Castle and at Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona, where more than 13,000 visitors came. His work has been shown at the Kaiserliche Hofburg in Innsbruck, in London, Milan, Florence, Cannes and Miami, and in 2026 at Art & Luxury Monaco. He belongs to the network of artists of Tota Pulchra, the Rome association linked to the cultural sphere of the Holy See.
During my research I discovered that Lisa del Giocondo is believed to have lost a daughter. I wanted to give that child a voice.
